BBC DOCUMENTARY :ATOM - The illusion of reality:
In 1912 ,In the Hot Air Balloon
about three miles above the ground was an austrain scientist called Victor Hess
who made an astonishing discovery in Science. Up there Victor found incredible
rays of energy coming from outer space. It was so powerful than any other
radiation ever seen before. They were called Cosmic rays. At the same time in
the earth scientists were studying about powerful radiations pouring out from
the interior of the atoms , called as radioactive rays. The mysterious rays
form vast emptiness of space and mysterious rays from deep within the atoms. No
one thought there would be connections between the two. But a mind blowing discovery
was made, saying there are connections between the cosmic rays and the
radioactive rays within the atoms. This revolutionized science. Everyone should
take a look at this amazing documentary.
Professor Jim Al-Khalili's documentary series about the basic building
block of our universe, the atom. Al-Khalili explores how studying the
atom forced us to rethink the nature of reality itself, encountering ideas that
seem like they are from science fiction but in fact are a central part of
modern science. He discovers that there might be parallel universes in which
different versions of us exist and finds out that empty space is not empty at
all, but seething with activity. The world we think we know - the solid,
reassuring world of our senses - turns out to be a tiny sliver of an infinitely
weirder and more wonderful universe than we had ever conceived in our wildest
fantasies.
BBC: Atom: The Key to the Cosmos
As we gaze up the heavens, we ask the question where we have come form, how the stars were made, how the universe begun. The mankinds greatest achievements is that we have answered all these questions. And these answers come from the study of smallest building block of matter, ATOM. Atoms have solved the greatest mysteries of the universe. And This documentary shows that how it had happened.
The second in Professor Jim Al-Khalili's three-part documentary about the basic building block of our universe, the atom. He shows how, in our quest to understand the tiny atom, we unravelled the mystery of how the universe was created. It's a story with dramatic twists and turns, taking in world-changing discoveries like radioactivity, the atom bomb and the big bang. All this forms part of an epic narrative in which the greatest brains of the 20th century competed to answer the biggest questions of all - why are we here and how were we made?

BBC: Atom: Clash Of Titans
This is the story of the greatest scientific discovery ever. The discovery that everything is made of atoms. As we go deep into the atoms, the nature gives shocking secrets. This documentary covers the discoveries of great minds like Bohr, Rutherford and many more scientists who revolutionized Science itself and it unlocks the secrets of atoms and sub-atomic particles. The first of three programmes in which nuclear physicist Professor Jim Al-Khalili tells the story of the greatest scientific discovery ever - that everything is made of atoms. As scientists delved deep into the atom, into the very heart of matter, they unravelled nature's most shocking secrets. They had to abandon everything they believed in and create a whole new science, which today underpins the whole of physics, chemistry, biology and maybe even life itself.
The series tells a story of geniuses like Albert Einstein and Werner Heisenberg who were driven by their thirst for knowledge and glory. It is a story of false starts and conflicts, ambition and revelation, a story which leads us through some of the most exciting and exhilarating ideas ever conceived by the human race.

BBC: Parallel Universes (HQ)
Everything you're about to read here seems impossible and insane, beyond science fiction. Yet it's all true.
Scientists now believe there may really be a parallel universe - in fact, there may be an infinite number of parallel universes, and we just happen to live in one of them. These other universes contain space, time and strange forms of exotic matter. Some of them may even contain you, in a slightly different form. Astonishingly, scientists believe that these parallel universes exist less than one millimetre away from us. In fact, our gravity is just a weak signal leaking out of another universe into ours.
